Candida albicans/Macrophage Biointerface on Human and Porcine Decellularized Adipose Matrices

چکیده

Macrophages, cells effective in sensing, internalizing and killing Candida albicans, are intertwined with the extracellular matrix (ECM) through different signals, which include release of specific cytokines. Due to importance these interactions, employment vitro models mimicking a fungal infection scenario is essential evaluate ECM effects on macrophage response. In this work, we have analyzed human porcine decellularized adipose matrices (DAMs), obtained by either enzymatic or organic solvent treatment, macrophage/Candida albicans interface. The present study has allowed us detect differences activation macrophages cultured human- porcine-derived DAMs, evidencing changes actin cytoskeleton, such as distinct F-actin-rich membrane structures surround pathogen. morphological observed four DAMs key understand defense capability against This work contributed knowledge influence that its components can exert metabolism, immunocompetence capacity respond microenvironment possible scenario.

Characterization of natural, decellularized and reseeded porcine tooth bud matrices.

Dental tissue engineering efforts have yet to identify scaffolds that instruct the formation of bioengineered teeth of predetermined size and shape. Here we investigated whether extracellular matrix (ECM) molecules present in natural tooth scaffolds can provide insight on how to achieve this goal. We describe methods to effectively decellularize and demineralize porcine molar tooth buds, while ...

Effects of Genipin on Decellularized Porcine Cartilage

This research aims to develop an alternative method to osteochondral articular transfer using decellularized, crosslinked porcine osteochondral xenografts (OCXGs). Crosslinking collagenous tissue results in greater mechanical strength, more resistance to enzymatic degradation, and reduced immunogenicity. This study used genipin, a chemical substance from the Gardenia jasminoides Ellis fruit. Ge...

Xenoantigenicity of porcine decellularized valves

BACKGROUND The xenoantigenicity of porcine bioprosthetic valves is implicated as an etiology leading to calcification and subsequent valve failure. Decellularization of porcine valves theoretically could erase the antigenicity of the tissue leading to more durable prosthetic valves, but the effectiveness of decellularization protocols in regard to completely removing antigens has yet to be veri...

Mechanical evaluation of decellularized porcine thoracic aorta.

BACKGROUND Decellularized tissues are expected to have major cellular immunogenic components removed and in the meantime maintain similar mechanical strength and extracellular matrix (ECM) structure. However, the decellularization processes likely cause alterations of the ECM structure and thus influence the mechanical properties. In the present study, the effects of different decellularization...

In vitro histological investigation of interactions between rat decellularized large intestine scaffold and human adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells

The aim of this study was to investigate the interactions between rat intestine decellularized scaffold and human adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells. Rat large intestine was dissected in fragments and decellularized by physicochemical methods. The scaffolds were loaded by human adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells expressing green fluorescent protein. Microscopic sections were prepared fr...
